PACA Inducts Hall of Fame Member, Presents Concrete Awards

Awards honor individuals and companies for industry excellence

The Pennsylvania Aggregates and Concrete Association, Pennsylvania's leading voice for the crushed stone, ready mixed concrete, sand and gravel, and cement industries, recently inducted a dedicated member into its Ambassadors of the Industry Hall of Fame. This brings the Hall of Fame to more than 100 inductees since its start 24 years ago.

The 2024 Hall of Fame class member is:

  • Josie Gaskey, PACA

In addition to the Hall of Fame honors, PACA awarded its annual Chairman's Award to Janki Shah of Allan Myers and Tim Kindt of Pennsy Supply, a CRH Company, for their tireless efforts to advance the knowledge of the next generation through the PennDOT Aggregate Technician Certification in close partnership with PennDOT personnel.

PACA's Excellence in Concrete Recognition Awards honored individuals and companies with its Project of the Year and Hank Bauer Captain of Concrete award.

Commercial Construction Project of the Year (Buildings)

  • Winner: Delaware Valley Concrete Co. Inc.
    • Owner:  Montgomery County Courthouse
    • Contractor: B Pietrini & Sons

Commercial Construction Project of the Year (Structures)

  • Winner: New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co.
    • Owner: Altoona Water Authority
    • Contractor: Allison Park Contractors

And, the Hank Bauer Captain of Concrete Award is presented to PACA's concrete champion of the year. This year’s recipient was Andrew Wittle from York Building Products for his outstanding efforts and dedication to the association’s certification program.
