Chairman's Message on Succession Planning

The association has been focused on an orderly staff succession planning process since the launch of our strategic plan in 2022. We experienced the first one with Josie Gaskey's retirement last spring, and we understood that it is not an easy and straightforward process and more advance time must be dedicated to ensuring continuity.

I'm pleased to inform you that the lesson has been learned, and the board of directors has identified a candidate to replace Peter Vlahos. Peter has informed the board of directors that he will be stepping down on November 30, 2026 as PACA's president and CEO ending a 19-year service to the association and industry.

We're committed to keeping you updated on the progress, and I encourage you to attend the April 10, 2025 Members Forum to hear more about our succession planning process.

Respectfully Yours,
Jamie Stilley
